White Christmas seemed amazing as I was watching it, but some things were totally illogical.
The "cookie" concept was a little ridiculous. Why would you create a conscious being and then torture it to perform simple functions that could easily be automated? Surely there would be a way to avoid the whole confusion and torture aspect.
Also the blocking thing was pretty absurd. I don't see why that idea would ever be implemented.

I still loved the episode though. I think it's the best one.

Because this way the company can provide fully personalized services that don't need programming (eg, you don't have to tell it how you like your toast). Yeah, it's ridiculous, but think of all the gadgets rich people have in our world to make menial tasks painfully easy. There surely would be a market for Cookies.

As for the torture, well, yeah, that's just psychologically torture. Since the cookies are sentient, "living" things, they break them into submission so they perform their role.

I found the internal logic of the episode to work, tbqh. But yeah, blocking. I can see blocking working as a restriction order for one or two people, but then Jon Hamm gets blocked in everyone's view, yeah, that was kinda bullshit. Flagging him with red to all makes more sense, which would be sort of the equivalent to sex offenders being legally obliged to inform people they are sex offenders when they move to a certain location. But blocking him to everyone entirely, that's more like prison.

Then again, unproportionate punishments are a staple of sci-fi.

White Bear should be 3 or 4, going in not knowing is great. The ending is a surprise and does a whole other critique than what the beginning of the episode was going for.

Fifteen Million Merits really is the best, it does satire/critique that is extremely relevant in this day and age. The ending is a real bitch, did he just trade a nicer, bigger cage for his old one? Also, I would watch his waifu getting gangbanged and fap til my ballsack dried up. Sucks for him though.

From what I recall it basically blocks all human interaction - I don't remember if it's mentioned if people are able to "unblock" you, like a mother or best friend.

I don't know how these people would work either. There's no chance to network or work a job or even get an education. You're pretty much forcing them down a bad path with no light at the end of the tunnel. Something bad is going to happen as a result.
