Animation overall isn't terribly great, but they do give a good amount of attention to where it matters. It's all meant to be a wannabe anime anyway so they just copy tropes and what looks cool and builds tension which is all people really care about.

The characters have somewhat interesting chemistry and the show's first 2 season were extremely light hearted and fun, making for an enjoyable watching if you could get over the animation.
Monty Oum (Dead Fantasy, Haloid) created it and it had some pretty good fight choreography during the first two seasons as a result.
The animation is terrible and everybody agrees there (it does improve season-to-season though). But the voice acting is good and the story/characters leave a lot of room for development which people use as an excuse for writing gigs and gigs of fanfic.
I like RWBY, but I mean, you can really only appreciate it in the same way you appreciate Naruto or Fairy Tail or something, knowing its not good (not as bad as FT tho) but has some qualities you find redeeming.

The english voice acting sounds terrible and never fits for any of the characters, the animation is hilariously bad, the style looks god awful, the story is generic and boring and not compelling in the slightest, and the music is hit or miss. 0/10 its sad it has a fanbase, people who have never seen a good show in their life I guess.

The voice acting is not at all terrible for the English (which is the original). The animation is trash and everybody agrees wholeheartedly with you there. The story has barely even begun thus far, but it isn't any more terrible than 90% of animes. It is compelling insofaras you have absolutely no idea what is going on and it keeps you on your by having zero SOL or other filler. I have no opinion on the music one way or another and I'm not sure I've seen anybody else criticize it, you can take it up with /RWBYg/ I guess.
