It doesn't make sense.

Avery is talented enough to wipe all traces of the victim's DNA from his properties, despite allegedly shooting her in the head...

.. Yet I'm supposed to believe he is stupid enough to leave her remains by his bedroom window, leave her vehicle on his property (after having put her dead body in there to leave some convenient blood stains for the cops to find), and to COMMIT SUCH A SERIOUS CRIME AFTER HAVING EXPERIENCED HOW SHIT BEING LOCKED UP FOR 18 YRS CAN BE DESPITE FINDING A NEW WAIFU AND SOUNDING HAPPY IN HIS NEW LIFE.. ALSO WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF 400K - 36 MILLION DOLLARS IN COMPENSATION.

You gotta be some kinda brainwashed police fanboy retard to support the state in this case.

Or... they didn't find the crime scene and it didn't happen as Brendan said. The prosecution took the wrong route trying to match the evidence to the confession, but I don't believe any of the conspiracy non-sense. There's too much evidence against Critter.

>He gets out of prison and freaks out at all the new stuff in his life, lives in an ice shack for weeks.
>The documentary conveniently leaves out that he called the picture place 3 times, every time requesting for Teresa. Her boss and co-workers all say he called the office and her with multiple *67 calls.

>TL:DR Avery is guilty, documentary is reddit bias

I think people are hung up on whether Avery or Dassey did it and the truth is none of that matters. The show isn't really about whodunit it's more of a slow motion nightmare about being railroaded. I can't imagine how anyone thinks they got a fair trial.

Not really. They made it sound like SA had unintentionally torched a cat when he actually poured gasoline over it. And they left out shit like letters sent from prison to his children saying he'll kill mom. But like I said, none of that really matters when talking about the actual case.
>>
>>64626739
Not in a sufficient way. It's glossed over. Most people who have seen the documentary don't even know that six of the eighteen years he served in prison was for a crime he did commit. The alleged rape affidavits weren't in the documentary as far as I can remember.

Again, even the guilty deserve a fair trial. It's the cornerstone of our entire justice system. I think the cops honestly believed Avery did it, and they would do whatever it took - including planting Teresa's keys in his home and moving her car into his salvage yard, moving her ashes from one location to another - to prove it. More than that, I think Dassey was the one actually innocent. They coerced a confession out of him to get to Avery. He was a dumb as hell means to an end with the shittiest lawyer imaginable. The burden of proof is high, and the state clearly overreached, which is just as wrong and evil when done to a guilty man as when it’s done to an innocent one.
>>
>>64625227

Obviously a piece-of-shit, lying, sociopath that is clearly guilty.

Conspiracy theory. It's cute but doesn't carry weight in a courtroom.

Think about what you're suggesting for a moment. A conspiracy spanning two police districts.

Spurned lover? Pathological narcissist? He said they were together for 5 years, some people just can't let that go. From the first moment you saw him on screen during the search he just immediately stuck out like a sore thumb. He was cold, confident and placed himself immediately at the centre of attention. He was the guy organising the search parties. He was the guy telling people where to look. He was the one coordinating everything. Why? Why would an ex-boyfriend be the natural person to assume this role? Wouldn't the brother or a family member or even a close friend much more sense? Why was he even there? He has the perfect window of opportunity and a good cover for doing stuff like moving and mutilating the body, moving the car, hiding the car and then ultimately directing two women straight to it in 5 minutes in a junkyard with like 10,000 vehicles.

I wish that the omitted evidence had been included in the show. I don’t find most of it that decisive - some of it is hearsay, some of it is circumstantial, some of it could have been planted - but I think that by being more skeptical of Avery’s innocence the show could have actually made its point about even the guilty deserving a fair trial harder.

Not many people here (if any) think he should be exonerated. Don't see how "tens of thousands of innocents in the prison system" have to do with a discussion about a documentary on a board about movies, TV shows and documentaries.
>>
>>64628576

It was asked if the documentary was biased, which is true since the filmmakers didn't include Avery and Halbach's prior relationship.

I have no idea why you are so mad though.

I'm sorry we're interrupting your hundred Star Wars threads.
>>
>>64628644
The documentary is trying to make a more sweeping statement about America's judicial system. The filmmakers said so themselves.

That's not my point. I'm saying there's actually a lot of evidence in this case, and while they're missing the crime scene, the rest of the evidence is strong enough to convict. A lot of people have just gotten a bit carried away with conspiracy theories and don't accept the evidence.

Both sides were full of shit. The entire Avery family needs to be gassed. Every single cop and lawyer needs to be fired and sent to work in coal mines. Everyone who argues hard for either side will be allowed to choose which of the former two options they get.

>>64629498

>>
>>64629498
The whole series is basically a conspiracy theory. If you don't like conspiracies then you might be in the wrong place. From my point of view, although while the cops were crooked in 85, they were probably too smart to pull that shit twice, especially since they knew the spotlight would be on them. Personally I think it was either a serial killer or one of the Halbach family (brother or ex-boyfriend) who did it and either accidentally or deliberately tried to create links with Steven knowing that the cops would go there first and not bother to investigate anything else.
