Also I really like Zvyagintsev's film
Id recommend Bring me the head of alfredo garcia. Its bleak and slow though.

What went wrong?
the force awakens
Saw this movie yesterday, and was surprised by how good it was. Pretty corny but also lots of fun.apparently it was the inspiration for Majora's Mask
Wish they still made movies like this.

shit forgot pic
>>64618541
eh that was good not great
I really don't understand the love for that movie.
>>64618565
I'd agree. I mostly liked it for the clever editing.
I think it's one of those movies that affect you alot when you're still a teenager, kind of like Fight Club but if you see it as an older person its just kinda whatever.
How I Live Now. Actually the best YA movie to come out in a long time. The first half is a special snowflake girl getting btfo by some farmboys, then shit hits the fan. Made me nostalgic for my teens and then turns into a full blown grim realities of war epic. Think Threads: the teenage years

I don't know.
I watch fight club the other week after not watching it for about five years and I was impressed.
It really is a spectacular movie.
I think the reason it garners so much hate from this place is that autists somehow believe that if the general populace like a film or a bunch of teenagers like a film then it is automatically bad.
Which is insane.
The cinematography and acting and story was brilliant in Fight Club and it might be Fincher's second best film.

Fight Club is great and has held up well over the years. I just think that the philosophical stuff in it has way more impact when you're still young.

You shouldn't post here anymore.

Mah surveillance thriller niggas, any similar films I should watch?

Agreed but in today's political environment I believe even adults can connect to durden.
The western political sphere is completely fucked right now.
After Hours
if you for whatever reason have yet to see this, do yourself a service and watch it asap.

It kind of feels like between a Tarkovsky film and, say, The Revenant, for a current comparison.
this movie was so fucking good

>hardmode: don't be a contrarian

>don't be a contrarian
fuck, i can't help myself! It was mediocre at best
>>64620005
>hating YA makes you a contrarian on 4chan in the year 2016
I don't like this and I don't like you.
>>64620091
No writing it off based on the target demo makes you a contrarian. I also usually hate YAMs but after reading the synopsis gave the movie a shot and liked it.
The rover.
Excellent film, fucking blew my shit away
Upstream Color
I only saw it last week but it left an impression. Probably some of the best (or at least most enjoyable) visual storytelling I've seen.
