Look at them. Why are they using guns and phallic objects to assault ghosts? This is just more problematic symbolism and violence from the patriarchy forcing itself on women.

If anything, they're riding off the name of a film that was made successful from an all-male main cast. Its like a chimp miming eating popcorn while watching humans pass by and look down on them in enclosures or cheap knock-off companies in 3rd world countries trying to sell gold fish and shoes in "Gooogle Sore" shops.

but lets boil it down even more. original Ghostbusters were basically detectives with an ape and the 80's male Ghostbusters had quasi-science and a more "every man" vibe. Two different time periods and 2 different approaches to the same base theme; catching ghosts for profit. Follow me so far?
Now the new Ghostbusters, rather than doing a modern era, future, or period piece, they're chose is to set it in a similar time period and setting as the 80's films as well as re-using the logo, similar technology and character tropes. They're copying it.
If they instead did something more original or created a real reboot or reimagination of the story, then i don't see anything wrong, but they way it sits now, it reeks of unoriginality and attention seeking.
If you wanted to show off as a kid, you might show your friends a new gameboy, right? Well, if your friend gets one before you and all the kids swarm around him to see, then you come in 2-3 weeks later and try to show off a tiger electronic hand-held your mom bought you at a swap meet, you'll be laughed at. That's what this movie deserves. Ghostbusters already exist, people know it; love it. They're just screaming for attention and saying me to without any way of promising more/better.
If i were a woman, i'd be insulted by this movie because it implies that women can't make an original idea by themselves and must barrow heavily from males that have done it first.

Either new a wholly new take on Ghostbusters or, what I hoped for, just make a it a sequel to the 80s and 90s movies by having an in story franchise of new Ghostbusters. Even if it was all female, which isn't a problem, at least they're not pretending it isn't just a knockoff of the old series.

This movie is gonna bomb even if it was good. First, you take a beloved franchise and attempt to remake it. That is already sketchy territory since your messing with a legacy, and people will already assume it won't be as good as the original. Next, you replace the whole cast with women. Now I guess this isn't inherently bad, but none of them are attractive. You can have an ugly male cast, but not vice versa. Sorry, that's how it works. Also, I guarantee Melissa McCarthy is gonna play the same exact character she always plays, which people gotta be getting tired of. Don't know what the reviews will say, but this won't make any money.
