No, I sat through the boring opening sequence with the gore where they're killing people. Then the boring sequence with the wounded foreman and his wife, then the boring confrontation with the guy from the opening, and the boring sex scene, and the boring exposition about secret evil cannibal indians and the boring discussion about horses and the boring discussion about telescopes and the boring discussion about how they shouldn't have shot the mexicans and the boring bit about the guy talking about the horse eating spicy mexican food, and the boring drama about the guy whose family was massacred by indians and that's why he killed boring mexicans, blah blah blah.
I liked the guy who played the deputy. That was a good role and performance, sadly wasted here.

I think the setting can have good horror, if you leave out typical Western tropes. Little cottages, totally isolated, free of modern devices, can be very creepy.
The Witch looks promising for those reasons, though obviously set earlier.
