I recently acquired a laserdisc player, pic related, its the model I got. I have a few films, namely Blade Runner, Lion King and a few other movies, and I plan on picking up the Star Wars Definitive Wide Screen Trilogy.
Any other films that you guys recommend? Any genre goes, I'm not too picky. Thanks in advance!

Nothing comfier than watching T2 on laserdisc.

I hear that. OP here, my co-worker is willing to sell me his father in law's LDs for a few bucks a piece. Can't wait to see what he's got!

laserdiscs are awesome because they dont include the shitty meme color grading they've fucking added to nearly EVERY HD-remaster from the past 15 years

Nice. Been looking to pick up THX-1138, and LD seems like a reasonable option.
Jurassic Park.

Pioneer-Japan made a laserdisc version of Terminator 2 that wasn't ultra-blue like every other version of the movie. I think it has Japanese hard-subs though

Which is why fan restorations, color regrading tools, and fanmade 35mm scans are made. Sometimes even professionally made DCPs are found and shared.

Would love to watch this.
The Wizard of Speed and Time
It was never officially released in any format except for Laserdisc. It's a great, light-hearted comedy about an eccentric special effects artist in the 80s who works exclusively in stop motion.
FUCK digital color correction and FUCK digital noise reduction. One makes all new remasters into generic orange and teal shit, and the other makes people look like fucking ken-dolls

THE REGRADED ONES LOOK LESS CHEAP
ITS AN EASY TRICK TO ADD A BIT OF ABSTRACT COLOR TO SELL THE MOVIE
LOOKS LESS LIKE A SET AND MORE LIKE THE MOVIE WORLD

Don't forget Michael Mann's The Keep. Your only options for that are Betamax, Laserdisc or bootleg. Never officially released on DVD or Blu-Ray.

I have seen one OT.com member having this image as his signature.
Are you that OT.com member?

Ive had my LD since the 90's, and it still works great. There are some movies that have some cool deleted scenes, like T2. Here is what I have.
