Thoughts on Peep Show? After 12 years it's finally over. I thought the series finale was a bit weak but overall the season was miles above series 8. Doing a rewatch it's pretty sad to see the guys age over time. Ironically Super Hans seemed the least affected by father time. Aside from Mark, which character did you most relate to?

David Mitchell turned into Christopher Hitchens while Robert Webb turned into a friar from the middle ages.
Best side character imo. If I had to relate to any character I see myself a male version of Dobby except a virgin. You might say I'm Mark then, but other than his failures with women I'm not nearly as uptight and anal as he was. As the show went on he definitely became a less sympathetic character.
Apparently they had planned to have the internal monologues of other characters beside Mark and Jez. Can you imagine being inside Johnson or Super Han's head?

Mitchell's delivery alone is what makes it one of my top 10, along with Super Hans but he never has enough screen time.
A lot of the gags are just for 'cringe' value as that's the sort of show it is. Layering absurd event after event until the viewer can't take it anymore, similar to The Office or Inbetweeners.
It definitely isn't for everyone. They're not my favourite style of comedy and some days I have to pause episodes even though I've seen them before.
