I caught a couple episodes when on business a few months ago. It's fucking awful. Every other line is a quip. All of the monsters look like humans for budgetary reasons. All of the actors look like models because CW. Stay away.

Hard to say, OP. The first 5 seasons are genuinely great. But the Kripke left and it instantly turned to shit and stayed shit long enough to be mediocre on the whole. This last season has been pretty good though.

First 2 seasons are great if you're looking for an X-Files type show.

This season has been great. It's back to pre season 6 greatness. Actually the last three seasons have been good and increasingly better.
