Thank you OP for reminding me how much I love ROTJ. Literally had no problems watching it before but then /tv/ comes in and tells me it's bad and the problems, now I can't ignore them.
Same with TFA. If ROTJ didn't have those now noticeable flaws it could easily top Empire, this battle is definitely the highlight of the film

TFA doesn't even have a single scene as well acted, well put together or dramatic as that one scene from ROTJ. Everything comes together in the throne room scene and the lightsaber battle, the music, the dialogue, the pacing, the cinematography, the effects and its place within the film's narrative.
TFA has nothing that even comes close. Don't get me started on how abysmal the TFA space scenes are compared to this:

ROTJ is flawed but it's still a great film with some of the best scenes ever.
