I liked this movie
>>64438481
I'd even say I loved it.
song kang ho best korean actor
>>64438481
It's amazing, especially the ending
Is it really depressing? I could go for a nice comfy mystery
>>64439579
It's definitely comfy
>>64438481
So someone has been taking recommendations from Every Frame A Painting
>>64438481
One of a handful of 10/10 movies released in the 21st century for me. Love it.
>>64439639
reviews look good, I'm watching this tonight. Don't fail me /tv/
It's very high on my list of favorite movies.
>>64439517
how? they never found the murderer
Does Korea only have like five actors? I swear every time I watch a new movie I recognize at least two people.
>>64439766
In real life they didn't either
>>64439687
Stop trying to make this happen. Its kind of pathetic that you think a youtube channel with only a dozen videos is significant enough to be attacked.
>tfw when someone went to see the movie and probably sat down next to the killer
>>64439801
Hello youtube.
EFAP
>>64439775
They had one generation of good actors in the early 2000s but now they are all plastic fuckboi actors because their society has fallen
>>64439837
No one's attacking the channel. It's just a correlation between the channel that has quite a few subscribers I might add, has released a video and now everyone is watching it. No one even said it was a bad thing, just a corrolation.
>>64439904
>implying TOP is a fuckboy
>>64439837
Are you a dumbass?
A film channel, on youtube, probably the best one on youtube, will attract members of /tv/. This is not a guess, this is reality. He isn't attacking anyone you dipshit, he is simply stating a fact.
>>64438481
One of the best endings ever.
great atmosphere and ending
overrated piece of shit
>>64442102
explain?
>>64438481
Weird how you feel the need to post this just 2 days after the new YouTube video of this Every Frame a painting guy.
Please, at least try to hide the fact that your favourite films are t imdb top 50
>>64439687
HEY, I watched it before tony zhou made a video
I'm a cool cult guy amirite
Waiting to see what the director brings next
pretty much the Korean Zodiac
although, Zodiac is a lot more tense/scary
both top notch films
>>64438481
What did you like about it?
>>64439718
In my eye it's the best Korean Film I've ever seen besides Spring Summer Winter Fall and Spring.
And I'd go as far as to say it's one of the best films of this century.
>>64446471
Secret Sunshine and MoM
I don't get the hype around this movie. I liked Confession of murder better
Mother is the best korean film. Although you have to be a korean to appreciate the cultural context and the nuances. Sucks to be an american
>>64447008
I've seen an unhealthy amount of Korean films and I've spent 2 years in Korea. Mother is good but I wouldn't call it the best Korean film.
>>64438481
Too bad asian people can't act.
They just seem like they are overacting about everything.
>>64438481
in which language?
>>64447109
Did u understand the ending
What makes this movie so praiseworthy?
I watched it a few weeks back after someone recommended it in a Zodiac thread.
The majority of the film is just pure police incompetence, I thought the chase scene was pretty good and the ending on the train tracks as well, other then that I found it pretty mediocre in suspense/mystery
Watched The Chaser last night, give it a shot OP, it's fucking great (similar but more urban korea).
What are the best Korean films?
Policial drama? The best.
The ending? Godlike/Legendary.
>>64447760
chaser is alright.
Memories of a murderer has stuck with me for so long. that ending.
>>64447266
Dance her troubles away?
I think there's more than one interpretation to the ending. The son protected her even though I'm pretty sure he was aware, not most of the time, of what his mother did to him over the years. So at the end when he gives her the box with acupuncture needles he is either protecting her out of instinct from the police or forgives and understands her and gives her a way out. That's how I saw it.

>>64447579
1.Interesting character arcs.
2.The discrepancy between old ways cop and young procedural cop.
3.The acting.
4.The beginning and ending of the movie.
5. Atmosphere and pacing.
>>64438481
>mfw my mom was in middle school when this shit was happening in korea
>mfw she took bus just to be safe
>mfw police reported that the killer often took buses
>mfw my mom didnt finish movie because she stopped watching after the scene where girl gets murdered
korea was fucking paradise for serial killers back in the days senpai
>>64448376
6. The dropkicks
>>64448091
>isaw the devil
>7/10
vomited on my keyboard, and these dubs confirm
>>64449024
is it shit?
>>64449064
at the end the guy who takes revenge, fucks it up
he should kill the devils family in front of him and leave him a paralyzed sack of meat
>>64448896
>paradise for serial killers
But wasn't this, like, the first and only serial killer the country had ever had?
I'm pretty sure the definition of a serial killer means somebody who repeats the crime in the same method. I think there were probably a lot of individual assault/murder/rape cased but to this day I think this killer was the worst Korea has ever had
>>64449064
Starts off amazing, but it feels like a drag at times even though there is plenty of action. Maybe it should have been shorter.
>>64449352
Yeah it had a lot of insane energy working in the first half but eventually the plot becomes so far fetched and out of control it starts bordering on parody
>>64449122
He did not fuck it up. He wanted to show the family how their son died because he killed the main guys or wife. (can't remember)
He wanted to let them feel the same as he felt when his wife got killed by him. The reason why he cries is because he realises that he is just as shitty of a person as the guy he hated and killed. He became the bad guy by killing the bad guy. Pretty nice ending if you think about it.
Really fucking boring
>another korean revenge film
>>64449843
i fucking hate having to wait to see recent Korean releases
>>64450391
you literally need to be checked for ADHD
>>64450713
Your reply is the best thing I've seen on /tv/ in a long time.
>I watch Korean movies over american/european movies because it makes me think I am pratician
>>64452309
>not watching all films
retard. flip it and look how stupid people are for not watching movies outside of their native tongue
>>64452309
It's not my fault that smaller, less competitive film markets usually put out better average products
>>64438481
Effort: None
