What section would you be in /tv/?
>>
Probably the part where Ed Harris shows up at the end to do a 5 minute scene and calls it a day.
>>

Just because that's where he gets fresh kids delivered regularly right guy?
>>
>>64404003
I actually enjoyed this movie quite much
Too bad about the ending though...

Star Wars left such a bad taste in my mouth.

I went home and gave this a watch for the first time. Washed away all the shit particles that were still in there.

Why is Evans so cute?
>>
>>64404003

I didn't get the ending.

So the engine is powered by the kids souls or something? Why was Captain America so important to the conductor?
>>
>>64404347
Are you retarded?
>>
>>64404347

Get in the robot, anon
>>
>>64404347
Parts for the perpetual engine were going extinct since factories dont exist anymore. So children between the ages of 4-5 were doing the job of spare parts (cogs, cleaning systems etc). Wilford wanted evans to replace him as the overseer of the train.
>>
Best character was the mute ninja played by that one brown kid from skins who was in a relationship with the old guy. His death was bullshit after all the wild shit he did earlier.
>>

Old dude + conductor were secretly grooming Curtis to take over. The rebellion was supposed to stop after a certain point to reduce the population and act as a sort of character building exercise for Curtis, but he was more determined to fuck shit up than they expected and made it to the front way before they wanted him to.
>>
everything in this movie was retarded
hurr lets crash the train, and the only two people who survive the crash get eaten by a bear
>>
The stupid unnecessary sushi section.
>>
>>64406500
Curtis didn't realize he was going to wind up dooming everyone. Nam just didn't give a fuck since he thought he had a chance.
>>
I've been meaning to watch this again. It was ridiculous but I enjoyed it a lot.

Also babies taste best
>>
The movie makes more sense when you realize everyone on the train is insane. No one is ration or thinking right, they've all been locked up on that thing for too long.
>>
>>64404003
The section where we get to watch The Raid or Dredd instead.

almost everything else in the movie I didn't have a problem with or at least thought was interesting. But then this guy shows up. What the fuck was up with him? He was like a terminator, taking ridiculous damage and killing everyone. And what was up with that random shoot out across the tracks? I have a feeling that they wanted me to think it was awesome, but I really didn't.
>>
>people still trying to apply realism and rational thought to this movie

How do you miss the point that it's a giant fantastical capitalism metaphor? If it were any less subtle they'd drop the train gimmick altogether and just film homeless people murdering everyone with a job that pays above minimum wage.
>>
>>64404003
The back where all of tv and pretty much 4chan users in general will be
>>
>>64406928
Most of the minor characters in this movie were weird as fuck because there was no time to develop anyone but Captain America. So we have people like those two guys or the tattooed acrobat or the psychic teenage girl with no attempt to explain them at all.
>>
anyone read the comics?
>>
>>64406928
That character made no sense. You're telling me this out of shape, middle aged man is some unstoppable monster
>>
>>64406940
the director is a communist right? or socialist can't remember, but anyway.

1% vs the 99%, the 1% takes over, fucks everything for everyone, how does this movie shits on the system I have no idea, same deal with Elysium

Capitalism cannot function without a dehumanized lower class, the lower class cannot comprehend the necessity of their subjugation, therefore a lower class revolt would end in disaster because they lack the understanding to successfully lead. People can achieve social mobility if they sell their valuable skills (violinist) and everyone else is used as a tool to keep the system running smoothly at the cost of their own comfort and safety (little black kid).

Or something like that. I'm still not sure if there is any kind of legitimate condemnation of lower class anarchy or if they're supposed to be seen largely as innocent because of their oppression.
