The 94% on RT is evidence that critics know more about cinema than the pleb masses farting out user reviews on metacritic. TFA was a great love letter to Lucas and a good introduction to some new characters who are already deeper and more interesting than their Original Trilogy counterparts.

We know...
Its literally a meme to hate TFA. Literally everyone and their dog enjoyed the mlvie immensly and thats why its already at 1.3 billion. Are you too stupid to catch on? The ironic "prequels are amazing" threads, the ironic "what went wrong (with TFA)" threads.
Too much time on /tv/ lad, get your head outside once in a while.

The meme hate has already spread to reddit. It's going to take over the internet soon, and by next year everyone will be talking about how terrible the movie is. Same thing happened to JJ's fantastic 09 Star Trek reboot.

Or, ya know... people just don't like the movie. Everyone has a different opinion. Box office numbers mean nothing. Transformers 4 was the highest grossing movie last year.

Critics aren't people?

Critics can be bought and have been bought before.
You guys spend too much time on the Internet if you honestly believe that disliking this movie is a meme. People can generally dislike something regardless of high critic praise just like people can love something the critics might trash.

People don't watch sequels to old franchises because they are good, they watch IN CASE it is good to relive their childhoods. Even if TFA is shit SW fans would watch just to know what happened to their beloved characters. Unless Disney fucks up big the crowds will come, but that reflects 'Star Wars' more than any one individual movie.
Critics to begin with are a lousy judge of a movie's quality, since we live in an era where reviews are mostly clickbait journalism and often are paid by someone to say good things. Similar things happen in the video game industry.
TFA was okay at best, but its not a great film.
No that's evidence that most "critics" are no better than the pleb masses in terms of being able to judge good cinema from the bad
