Turns out jocks have a higher low-income rate than nerds.

And guess who pays for movie tickets?

Why so angry friend

I bet you watch marvel movies
>>
>>64310096
The reason is that the highest grossing movies on these charts are always red. They've just learned what works best.

Everything turns to monopoly and "closes itself". Free market is a myth.

WAKE UP SHEEPLE
>>
>>64310096
There was a huge economic downturn and, not wanting to lose money, studios settled for remakes and sequels because they have a built in audience.

That's mean other media (like books and Comics) are becoming more successful as well.
And also the big company don't need to take risks if they make movies about thing that already are successful.

Because it's 8th movie with the highest grosses in the History until today and the Top 1 of Disney animations.

To actually pay his work money makes me want to throw up.

Why do you come to /tv/?

To bait?

Did you actually watch any of the Batman films he did outside of bootlegs? Because they're not worth actually paying money for.

Too many reasons to count, but lets spitball.

Teenagers have the most disposable income + Adults are the least likely to shell out money when they remember paying 5 dollars = movies aimed at teenagers

Teenagers grew up inoculated to sequel fatigue due to a steady supply of direct to dvds and tv show adaptations. (Yes these (man)children still get worn ot, but only after the 6th or so movie)

And as far as the comic book/animated movies go:
The media facilitated the acceptance of nerd culture. Nerds have always liked stuff that's inherently appealing to children, making nerd movies the most profitiable demographic ever.

getting the handsome socially adjusted guys to throw money into the nerd meme reaped dividends because females, ever perceptive, are now "incidentally" part of the community as well.

Studios have to keep the cool guys liking this shit. Thats why you see dorks complaining about how they "butchered" the source material. It was never meant for them. You lose the cool guys, you lose the cool girls AND the uncool girls and all you have left is children and sweaty fatasses. Still a lot of money, but we're talking chump change compared to the Avengers.

So what keeps a cool guy watching a movie? Explosions and tits. Same shit that the children like.

TL; DR Children like explosions, cool guys also like explosions, girls happen to like shit that cool guys like. Children like capes, manchildren also like capes. that makes superhero movies something we call a Four Quadrant film, hits, every demographic there. This genre has the staying power of the Western, it isn't tanking for at least 15 years.

lol this. you can always tell who the newplebs trying to prove their patricianhood are by the amount of vitriol in their attacks on directors like nolan or tarantino. obviously their work isn't top of the line, but to pretend they aren't at the very least competent is to betray your own cinematic ignorance.
