Just watched this, the first James Bond film I've ever watched.
Why is James Bond such a Mary Sue? He's perfect at everything. He is restrained by two tough men at one point, then he just gets out of it and it's all OK.
The worst he gets is a minor beating. Then he's thrown into a prison that he just escapes like it's nothing.
He doesn't even need anyone else in the entire film. Maybe the boat guy, but in the end he escapes on a boat all by himself.
Are the later James Bond films better? Does he have flaws?
Fuck off, Reyfag. Starwars is a different sort of film. Bond movies are about one character and showcasing gadgets and shit, not new worlds or character development.
Nostalgia. Bond films were never that good, they're just action films, stuff blows up and there's a women to look at.

>worst he gets are minor beatings
Yeah maybe for Connery, but wait till secret service. Let's just say, bond doesn't exactly win in that movie
The best bonds are:
From Russia With Love
Gold finger
You Only Live Twice
On Her majesty's secret service
Spy Who Loved Me
for Your Eyes only
Living daylights
Licence to kill
Goldeneye
Casino Royale
Connery = Mary Sue but entertaining tier.
Moore = whatthefuckweretheythinking tier.
Dalton = trying unsuccessfully to bring flaws to character tier.
Brosnanand Lazenby= god tier.
Craig = actual physical and emotional impactuntil Spectretier

He doesn't really use any gadgets in this one.
Again, this is literally the first and only Bond film I've seen.
They could have done an interesting twist at so many points. He places a hair on his wardrobe to check if anyone has searched his room. What if someone replaced the hair, then hit him with a club to knock him out?
Instead he's perfect and solves everything and every woman likes him, the end.

Solid list. I think License to Kill is a little too un-Bond but the rest is good. I often try to figure out why Goldeneye deserves to be in the top tier list, because I intuitively put it there also, and I can't really come up with any reasons besides how good its action scenes are.
Bond Actor rankings:
Dalton: most flawed and hard edged, shows how much work has taken a toll on him
Moore: goes goofy and serious, underrated and has the most range.
Connery: entertaining but closest bond got to marry she
Craig: like Dalton but not as great or refined
Lazenby: one hit wonder but he had it when he needed it most (you all know the moment)
Brosnan: great actor, but they turned his bond from emotional to a cartoon

Goldeneye is a good entry point, it's definetly aged poorly in places, and the last act kind of drops in quality

Fuck you, Spectre was better than SJ Wars the fem awakens.

It was the same as TFA. Reference reference wink wink no stakes have some more jokes. Not as trash as Die Another Day but there were vibes in places.

What was with SPECTRE anyway?
The not-quite-Chinese baddie mentions it in this one. It was one of the coolest scenes and I guess it was to set up a sequel?
