the nigger wins
>>
I really liked it. Any of the flaws that I saw from the first time watching it go away after repeated viewings.

>Big Black Dingus
obviously a lie
>Sherrif siding with nigger
Obviously because of him almost getting poisoned

shit was a good movie. 7/10 will watch a 4th time.

I loved it. Even more the 2nd go around. Notice a lot of subtle shit like Daisy's reactions to conversations and events among other things.

Enjoyed it a lot, but I think about half of that came from seeing it in 70mm.

Seriously, see it in 70mm.
>>
I really want to see this movie but I'm wary of the fellatio scene.

How does it not completely derail the movie
>>
>>64291346
It's told as a flashback and obviously a lie, and there isn't anything graphic visually about it. You are good.
>>
>>64291346
Its easily the best scene of the year.
>>
>>64291346
it doesn't. Also it might not even have actually happened. I think it's just bullshit he made up honestly. He was trying to goad on another character with the fellatio story.

I was worried about that scene as well.
>>
>>64291226
YOU NEED TWO PIECES OF WOOD
>>
Long as fuck but enjoyable. I thought some of the dialogue sucked, but the story kept me interested. I found myself going back and forth rooting for/hating each character depending on what was happening. Interestingly enough, I think I liked daisy and the sheriff the most. They were pretty much the most genuine ones, the only ones who weren't liars.

Good up until Kurt Russel dies
temporarily gets good again with Channing Tatum (surprisingly) but just leaves you feeling like they wasted a lot of potential with the story

7/10, might watch again
>>

It's important to take your son to see movies to help him learn his body. This is a truth for all men, nothing weird, just guy stuff.

He is really getting old with this breaking "taboo" of "overuse of word nigger, beating women,Uncle Tom, villain women, white man's fear of BBC,US was raised on violence, realistic yet somehow "deep" smalltalk and reminding everyone about Hollywood's New Zealand-exploitation(its not like NZlanders didnt had huge benefits(tourism, actually someone found about that shithole) ,
also , if he really wants to ruff some feathers as his legacy, he should start to film about Jews overtaking Movie Industry and how some of the most famous movies ever made were funded by Italian Mafia's blood money.

As it is, this shit would be impressive back in 1992.

But purely as a pulpy western flick 7-8/10. Good movie.

le h8ful8

typical tarantino flick, and i say that with the utmost disrespect

most hollywood directors simply bide by the hollywood law of token nigger with at least 10min of screen time, but tarantino goes beyond that and makes a nigger one of the main characters, and this time THE main character, and he doesnt even die in the end

le confederates were all racists and the war was only about ending slavery because the evil confederates wanted slavery but the brave yankees wanted to save all the brave black men from the evil southerners is basically what this movie tries to tell you while tricking you into thinking theres a fucking plot other than that guy theres got a gun and now hes going to shoot that other guy WOW AMAZING WRITING TARANTINO, SHOULD HAVE MAYBE GONE TO THAT FUCKING SCHOOL INSTEAD OF GETTING HIGH AND WATCHING "FILMS" (flicks)

I enjoyed the buildup more than the outcome; though it was an enjoyable movie overall. And at 3 hours long, I never really felt the length. It was my first Tarentino, and while I'm not a fan of his reliance on violent spectacle--it's a bit too over-the-top for my liking--I'm anxious to see more of his filmography. There is definitely more to The Hateful Eight than simply violence and profanity, and I imagine it's the same for his other films.

Compared to another Tarantino movie where shitty people are all inside a room having suspicions on eachother (Reservoir Dogs), it's boring shit. None of the characters were interesting enough to make me give a shit about them, the reveal was bland being everybody who wasn't in the introduction were the culprits and the long awaited Morricone soundtrack were just two or three regular tracks.

The only redeeming qualities were the beginning and some fraction of scenes like the "diabolical bitch" and that camera movement showing Jody in the basement
>>
>>64290491
Was I the only person who thought Michael Madsen should have actually been just some poor shitter going to visit his mom?

It would have been fucking hilarious if he was just pissed off the whole movie because he was caught up in all this bullshit, but then ended up collecting all the bounties and coming home to his mom in the credits.
>>
Why shoot the movie in 70mm if most of the scenes are inside the cabin ?

Her death just made me feel like shit. I'm not sure it was even necessary, at least not with how she was killed. The cowboy guy shoots her, then just sort of stands over her staring for a while? Just weird.

Then add to that just dumping her body in the well :/

Just bad. 3/10. Insanely slow. It was like a violent western in a room meets clue. Some of the dialogue was watchable but overall horrible movie. It's probably his worst movie even Jackie brown is better.

Joe Gage is by far the worst person in the movie, at least by what we've seen. You get the impression he's being bullied a bit by John Ruth and Mannix early on and it almost looks like he's lying about poisoning the coffee just to spare Daisy.

But then you see what actually happened at the Haberdashery. Killing qt Zoe would be bad but not necessarily worse than the others killing everyone else, but then he slowly walks outside and kills the guy in the outhouse. Everything before that was justified or merciful, but that guy did nothing wrong and Gage seemed to take a lot of time to kill him.

Reservoir dogs + Django unchained = Not as good as either.

He lost me on the terrible song choice at the start.
I like the white stripes but it just broke the immersion and was just awful.

Thor, your favorites list has given me some good recommendations and I truly do appreciate that you see so many foreign independent films that I would have otherwise never heard of, however; you are fucking wrong about death proof and kill bill. They don't compare to Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, or even Django. I haven't seen Hateful Eight yet so I can't comment on that, but your contrarianism is off the charts here.
>>
>>64311251

Haven't seen Django Unchained, but Hateful Eight was my fucking favourite Tarantino movie since Reservoir Dogs and I don't even normally like his films.

I was blown away by Hateful Eight though. There was never a dull moment. I LOVE whodunnits, read the entire Agatha Christie bibliography front to back, watched the entirety of Jonathan Creek, love movies like Clue, Gosford Park, Identity, Murder by Death etc.

I went into Hateful Eight not knowing it was going to be a whodunnit so I didn't expect it. 10 out of fucking 10. Great setting, great atmosphere, hilarious character interaction and dialogue. Fuck best movie I've seen this year.
>>
I thought it was really good. I liked the simpicity of the relatively small cast all stuck in one spot together. Very Resevoir Dogs.

Objectively correct Tarantino films list:

1) Pulp Fiction
2) Jackie Brown
3) Reservoir Dogs
4) Kill Bill parts 1 & 2
5) Inglorious Basterds
6) Hateful Eight
7) Death Proof
8) Django Unchained
>>
>>64312385

The slap in the face of intelligence of the movie was the narrator pooping in and characters telling the audience how stupid they are when 'dat nigger put dat gun der'. Not to mention if you didn't know it's QTs 8th movie. Derr my black dingus.

In "Death Proof" the characters feel the "realest" out of all Tarantino movies, and I like how they are in control of the story in the second half (and not the usual Tarantino puppets manipulated via dramatic irony) and actually break his usual pastiche premise. The ending is his least ironic and most sincere.

My main complaint is that even for a three-hour movie we didn't spend enough time with the characters. Instead of the flashback where they murdered all the innocents they should've just stayed in real - time. That cliffhanger ending chapter 3 with the shootout and everyone screaming in agony was amazing

I really feel like it's an unspoken sequel to Django more or less. At least in spirit. What I mean by that is that QT made a western on both sides of the fence. Django was pre civil war and Hateful 8 was post.
