I've read reviews from "superfans" of Tarantino and even they give it ~7/10.
His cinematography is 11/10 most of the time, especially with focus, quick zooms, lighting, etc but every time I watch anything recent the second time I realize the story is utter shit after about midway through.

Basterds - gets silly/cartoony after the bar/"three" scene
Django - after he kills the aussies / after german bro dies
H8 - haven't watched yet but I'm guessing that after #2 or #3 dude gets killed that it jumps the shark
