Is BB-8 seriously supposed to be a girl?
I didn't get that from watching the film. I got that BB-8 was a robot (or droid) that wasn't a boy or a girl, like R2D2. I mean, I guess the difference there is R2D2 was portrayed by a man, but in the reality of the setting, it's just a droid.
