VHS seems to be making an revival lately so let's have a good ole VHS thread. Just dug up all my Disney tapes and realized I don't have Tarzan so I'll be looking for a copy of that today.

You're worse than faggots that listen to vinyl.

Open up the cases and sniff under the plastic jackets and report back to us how high you get.

Terrible selection. Are you a 9 year old girl trapped in a 30 year old mans body? Or are you a 30 year old man with a 9 year old girl trapped in your house?

Those are just my Disneys. Here's my holy grails.

I like to collect different editions, and not only that but I like to keep backups in case one tape gets damaged or degrades over time.

>VHS REVIVAL

vhs are fucking stupid but i cant help being a bit jealous
>>

Uh, no it isn't, you stupid fuck. VHS is dead. You think that just because vinyl and needle can come back that you can have your nostalgia trip? Vinyl has something useful today, and that is Analog sound quality, and if it weren't for this, vinyl would be dead. VHS has literally no redeeming factors: composite video less than 480i on magnetic tape in 4:3 and having to rewind.

VHS compared to DVD
>lower quality
>smaller capacity
>shorter lifespan
>prone to mechanical failure
>physically large
>only read by specialist equipment

They weren't even the best media available at the tmie, betamax was superior.

Remember when people had 40 inch TVs in the 80s?

What on earth was the point.

To watch a really huge picture in a really terrible resolution

My uncle had one of those and even when it was cutting edge I could tell it was shit

Do you have the original $70 edition of Pinocchio, before Bill Mechanic lowered it to $30 in 1985 and it sold out its whole run?

I don't think so, this is the only one I have.
>>
The only tape I still have is subtitled US release of Stalker on 2 tapes. The quality is pretty terrible even for being VHS, but it's sort of cool to own.

>The Rocketeer

dear diary, OP was a total bro today.
Seriously, that movie kicks ass.

I'd actually never seen it, but found it for five cents at a thrift store so I picked it up.
