If it isn't an arc about the clones, ahsoka, obi-wan, the mandalorians, ventress or sheev. It's shit.
The whole Mon Calamari arc can be skipped, except for the Jaws scene which I thought was funny. I can't really think of any side arcs that were that great that didn't involve someone I mentioned. Except maybe for the Yoda arc.

the Maul part makes sense since all Sith choose a name different than their real one. Maybe I'm mistaken but Savage isn't Maul's real brother, nor is he a force user, he was given force powers by the witches. I think the production staff did a great job with those two despite Lucas feeding them shit.

I'm a little more than half way through the first season now. It's alright and has its moments. I've been told it gets better in later seasons.
I think one of the things I dislike is that a lot of the episodes are one-offs and need a minute of narrated exposition at the beginning or else you have no idea what's going on.
