>2013-2015 : Nostalgia Critic slowly morphs into Demo Reel 2.0, using the same actors and terrible humour and production. Douge had blown money on actors and a studio to produce the failed Demo Reel, so a Kickstarter is made to bring them out of the red. To the fans, they lie about producing hundreds of episodes of 'game shows'. When the game show finally surfaces in 2015, it's even worse than the movies and Demo Reel. NC is now Demo Reel, and chases popular movie topics to parody with unfunny scenes and terrible production. Somehow his autistic fans have been hoodwinked and still watch in the hundreds of thousands.

Just look at Plinkett, where mike uses an essay structure talking about a series of different topics. There's sometimes plot summaries when it's necessary to show the point that's trying to be made, but it's not always chronological since he's not handholding you through the movie and it's an aside compared to the meat being the critical analysis

I feel that the spoony incident was the beginning of the end for the now dyeing site. Sponny like many others at the top (Linkara and Brad) were treated more like friends and less than business partners by Doug (NC), Rob, and Mike Michaud. This also was a similar manner that they took with other members of TGWTG, but they weren't friendly just unprofessional or in the case of some of the women, sexist towards Lupa, NChick, and Holly (she was a business manager for the company and one of the few members that actually worked). But aside from the poor management, the site was growing in both reviewers and views. But the main issues stood which was that spoony, need to be watched like that on guy in the office, he’s a damn good worker, but only when management is riding his ass, otherwise he is lazy and says stuff that is an HR nightmare.
Then the JO incident happened and it was a PR nightmare. Lupa with the other female reviewers started a campaign to get rid of spoony. Even though spoony’s stuff brought a huge majority of the views. Now this was at a time when Channel Awesome was trying to “evolve” with its fans in the direction they thought was “right”, which was Left. They say how nerd culture was getting more and more liberal. Instead of comics and video games, they saw nerds talking about feminism, gay rights, and atheism. Hence the new focus was having rewires that focused on these topics or were gay, person of color, or a women. So to the top, it was more important to keep female reviews then one of their cash cows. Of course in the end it would not matter most the reviewers left.

After the spoony incident because they were losing views do tow three main factors. One, with spoony gone traffic died down. Two, with Nostalgia Critic over and Demo Reel being a giant flop, even more traffic was lost. And three, which was just shitty management, Doug and Rob were two focused on restoring the Nostalgic Critic traffic while carting to the SJW, with a more PC critic. Mike was too busy playing xbox live.
Reviewers were feeling neglected in support and payments and left in droves. Jewwario’s depression over took him and he unfortunately took his own life. Her new bf, I don’t know if it’s now husband, but this new guy has a good paying job and she quit reviewing since she did not need to worry about money any more. Marzgirl got married and she too has taken a break from reviewing only to come back in the Linkara movie for this one time. Team Four Stars insane success from Patreon allowed them to see no reason to be a part of Channel Awesome and they left. Sude just kind of disappeared, but he is a family man so he most likely got a 9-5 to support his family. Lupa was fired in a back hand move from Mike, who used a 15 min delay in a skype call as reason to fire her, with her Phelous left due to what happened to his finance (Lupa) and not being paid for effects work for last movie.

Lastly, Nchick left because she wanted to divorce herself from her old character, since a lot of her skits offended SJW’s since she was playing a girl who gave in to male power fantasies. Aka, the two in particular in which she was in bed with Spoony and in bed with Linkara. She saw how Anita made thousands of white knights and SJW’s and wanted to follow in foot, also she’s friends with Anita. In doing she took Todd and other reviews to create her SJW version of TGWTG, which has failed but she is still collecting money. She also cucked Todd, but he’s a tool (read his twitter).
So where is Spoony in all of this, he went off and started a Pateron, got tons of money (+4,000K) and did nothing. And the rest in history.
TL;DR: Spoony is only able to produce content when someone is watching over him. He is incapable of managing his own life and is too dependent on fans to just give him money because of his glory days. And Channel Awesome is just severely poorly run and on it’s way to death and don’t get me started on the game show and the indigogo.

Eh. The Ultima series was interesting because it was literally this guy dealing with his favorite childhood franchise being fucking ruined. It was interesting because it was a little window into his soul. It was also interesting because of the cool facts you'd learn about all these older games.
Problem is, it required you to watch a lot of videos and be interested in learning about that kind of stuff. Frankly you have to be a little autistic to sit down and watch all that shit. But I am, so I could appreciate it.
His FF8 review was a fair number of videos too, but the thing is, most people today have played or at least know of FF8. It's a part of a lot of people's childhoods, as it was simply a more popular game. That's the emotional connection that gets people to watch the FF8 videos, not because it was better.
It must kind of suck to pour your heart out like that and think that its popularity pales in comparison to one of your other random video game reviews, though. But then, true genius is rarely appreciated.
And yeah, I said it. His Ultima series *was* pure genius. It wasn't about gags or riffs or any stupid bullshit, it was just this dude going full autism over his favorite game series and talking about how it got fucking ruined. The only thing I think it's accurate about Prince is that the Hebrews and Egyptians actually look like they would in real life. I actually like the power and sense of authority God has in the Ten Commandments, but even then it's not really fair of a comparison because Prince goes out of its way to write the scene completely different from what's in the Bible, while Cecil B. DeMille was known for holding the Bible as one of the greatest books ever written to the point of adapting it word-for-word in his movies.
But I digress *chuckle*, I just get shivers when God starts writing the titular Ten Commandments, the film is 3 and a half fucking hours long, and it's like, reminding you of what this is about, quite overwhelming.
