Avery looks and sound like a degenerate.

There's a reason the whole town hates his family.

I think another point it tries to make is just how badly the legal system is designed to convict someone rather then allowing people to have a chance to prove their innocence.

also this doco is chilling, you should definitely watch it.

Eh, I think he did it. Theresa was probably the first piece of non-hick poon to get close to him since his exoneration, so he lost it and raped her. The police planted the key, blood and coerced the nephew to guarantee a conviction.

I do feel sorry for Brendan, though. He was a complete innocent who got mixed up in the county's holy war against Avery.

Strang was fucking awesome, btw.

Dean and jerry are heroes
>>
>>64176432

>>
>>64176432
I'm not saying he DIDN'T do it, but I don't buy your submission. He had the girlfriend of his and she seemed like she was good to him and were in love. Theresa wasn't really THAT attractive. I really don't buy him killing her because there was so little evidence, and he's so unintelligent that he couldn't think to cover all the shit he did. Plus, you add all the suspicious shit on the cops' side:

>"God" telling that woman where the car was
>the key wiped clean, no DNA from Theresa, only Steven
>vile of blood pierced
>those painfully disingenuous testimonies from the police
>the phone account access
>the cop lying about calling in the license plate
>"do they have Steven arrested?"
>the bus driver testimony that disproved the alibis of the cousin and brother in law

So many things
>>
>that based Juror who stood up for Avery and Branden
>>
>>64176878
Tadych (the brother-in-law) and Brandens brother were so fishy. Something about them and their stories were off but the series never dives into them as much.

I figure that Avery is innocent and the police framed him, they were in on it. Maybe they were paid a nice fee to help along the progress?
>>
Any other really good true crime documentaries? Can be a series like this or a more traditional one.

I've seen quite a few but feel free to mention whatever. If I've seen it I'll just say so.

>>
>>64176432

Overall, it seems like the balance of probability supports that. Balance of probability isn't enough to convict, though.

It's just that no other possibility really seems at all plausible. Certainly the cops didn't kill her. Seems unlikely the nephew or the other nephew (who I initially thought the documentary was going to point the finger at) did it. And it's not like the bones just made their way on to his property by accident.

And yet, why would he leave the car, uncrushed, hidden in such a half-assed way? Nobody's that dumb, surely?
>>
>>64176878
>"God" telling that woman where the car was

People confabulate dipshit stuff to make a random thing that happened to them seem more significant like, every single day, man. That doesn't hint to me of deception; someone angling to deceive would just be like "It was dumb luck". "God told me" is what you get when it was indeed dumb luck and the person in question wants to say something interesting while the cameras are pointed at them.

>"do they have Steven arrested?"

Bearing in mind that was after the car was found on his property, I have basically no problem with that. It's just decent operational procedure. It only looks significant because the cop in question knows his name, imo. If it was some blind case and he was saying "Do we have the property owner in custody?" (where said property owner was also the last person known to have seen the missing person) I'd expect, or at least not be at all surprised by, the same.
>>
>>64178190
>Nobody's that dumb, surely?

He was literally mentally retarded so probably.
>>
>>64178190
Almost positive that Avers brother in law and Co killed her and framed him. SA didn't or couldn't incriminate another family member because he risked alienating his family. I don't get why they never pointed the finger at anyone else otherwise
>>
>>64178304
There were 2000 plus cars on their salvage lot. The lady made a bee line for the car and was the only person there to have a camera. It smacks of a set up. She was also related to the victim.

It's bothersome that he's a criminal mastermind when it's convenient to the prosecution (completely cleaning up a garage that looks like a junk shop of any traces of blood resulting from at least one gunshot and purported stabbings) but every mistake like "why didn't he use the car crusher he lived next to" is because he's a dumb yokel
>>
>>64178475
>I don't get why they never pointed the finger at anyone else otherwise

The defence was specifically restrained by the bench from identifying any alternative suspects in their arguments. Kind of seems like bullshit to me, but that was presumably why.

>The lady made a bee line for the car and was the only person there to have a camera. It smacks of a set up. She was also related to the victim.

Being the only person there with a camera only seems unusual to me because why the fuck wouldn't a fair few people have cameras. It's odd to me that other people DIDN'T, not that she did. As for being related to the victim, well, sure. And if you think that, before the body was even found, she had embarked on some scheme to frame a guy for it, well I dunno. That just doesn't pass the smell test for me.

Making a Murderer

She was literally a former PI that worked with the Green Bay police department and was given the only camera by the local PD. They fucking sent her in to find the car. There's no other way.
>>
>>64180780
>They fucking sent her in to find the car.

Why, though? I don't get it. Why, having planted the car, do they care who finds it?
>>
>>64181043
It's not really a question of who, but when? If she's someone that could keep her mouth shut then why not send her in so the police could get on with what they wanted to do?
>>
>>64181043
Well the car is a major part of the plan, it get's the entire show on the road the moment that call comes through saying "we found the car, it's on Steven Avery's property" from that moment onward in peoples minds he did it.
>>
The Jinx kept me interest the whole time.

>>
>>64181159
>>64181173

I'm not trying to be obtuse, but neither of these answers my question. If I'm them, and I'm planting the car there to frame Avery, I'll just have my liaison with the search party suggest another once-over of the property and let it happen organically.

I'm not saying this proves anything, just I literally don't understand why there'd be a specific person to find the car.
>>
>>64181268
Because they could give her a story to tell when questions arise and procedures to follow afterwards. They could know for certain that she would cooperate if she was in on it

>"Hi anon, I hear you've been charged with child porn. I'm your attorney. You say you're innocent? Ok, let's go over some details....."
>>
>>64181268
If you're there and planning to frame Steven Avery, and you've had him as the major suspect since day one and then YOUR search crews come upon the car on his property, that's a little bit sketchy right?>

You'd want the finding of that car to be removed from your chain of command as much as possible, and it's also possible that they needed to get the car found AT that certain time because it would again look suspicious if they waited but still only kept Steven Avery as a suspect, and weren't looking into other options.

Because the moment that car was found on his property it was over.
>>
>>64181321
>Because they could give her a story to tell when questions arise

Why would questions arise? Why isn't it better for some clueless schmoe to be saying, I dunno, I just found the dang car and that's all, ya knoooow? Ah jeeze, OK then.

And I mean, the patsy especially is *already co-operating*, I mean they're on the search team, right? They already want to help? Why increase your exposure by involving more knowing confederates?

>>64181487
>If you're there and planning to frame Steven Avery, and you've had him as the major suspect since day one and then YOUR search crews come upon the car on his property, that's a little bit sketchy right?

Well, yes, that's why I'm saying my liaison with the volunteer search parties (which I would be sure to have if I'm planning this, don't know if it's standard but would think it odd if it's not) should suggest a closer search of the property.

>it would again look suspicious if they waited but still only kept Steven Avery as a suspect, and weren't looking into other options

While it was obviously bullshit, up until the car was found they were adamant that he wasn't being treated as a suspect and that they were exploring multiple avenues etc.

SGT. whatever Link was such a fucking faggot, and so was the other one that took the initial call about their prisoner may be innocent, then he waits 8 fucking years until the VERY next day that Steve is released to write a report about it? C'mon man, then the license plate call in was totally bogus, he got BTFO on the stand. It was fucking awesome to see most of the Department get BTFO out, then to see that fat fuck smug bastard Kratz get taken down for sexting a fucking domestic abuse victim, and telling her that HE"S the prize, lmao what a fat fuck.336 prisoners have been exhonerated after DNA evidence have proved them innocent, who the fuck knows how many more there are, and how many more where no dna was present.
