>implying anyone wants that shit

Disney might by Batman, that is all. All other DC properties hemorrhage money.
>>
People should be wary of one company getting too big, especially one of the media.
>>
>DC sells the film rights to their lesser known properties
>Disney applies the MCU formula to them
>they all outsell Superman
>DC vs Marvel vs Lightsabers vs Navi grosses 7 billion worldwide in 2025

Nintendo.

They have a good working relationship with Disney Japan.
>>
>>64169468
Disney is half the size of Apple and smaller than Google. That ship has already sailed.
>>
>>64169640
This is honestly the best bet.
>>
Realistically speaking it has to be a company not too big but also has a franchise or character that is well known enough for merchandising, icons would be a better word.
Marvel and Star Wars had huge merchandising prior to the buy out
>>
>>64169855
A Japanese company can't buy an American company

>>64169580
>>64169438
Time Warner isn't going to sell WB or DC.
Why would Time Warner ever sell off those brands?
>>64169399
>All other DC properties hemorrhage money
What are you talking about? DC TV is doing incredibly well.

Does /tv/ know any about business?
>>
>>64169331
HISTORY ITSELF
>>
>>64169964
I should say an American company can't buy a Japanese company.
>>
>>64169399
This, they'll make decent capeshit flicks
>>
>>64169640
Fuck, the world will literally end if this happens.
>>
>>64170010
The only way that would ever happen is if Time Warner and DIsney merge, which the FCC would never allow and there no reason for Time Warner to sell off DC comics or Warner Brothers because they are doing well.

I was really hoping they'd buy Hasbro.

>>64170124
Explain why Activision and Blizzard would split and why Blizzard would sell to Disney.

This board really shouldn't try to discuss business.
>>
>>64169855
>>64169640
If that were to happen then Disney would own big names like Mario, Zelda, and a part of Pokemon alongside the Seattle Mariners. They might also make Nintendo third party because they would want the IPs to be more accessible
but >>64169964
>>
>>64169331
The rest of Florida.
>>
>>64170168
Also, if Nintendo could be bought by a company, they wouldn't sell themselves off, plus, Disney probably couldn't afford them.
>>
>>64170109
I doubt Lego would allow themselves to be bought out by Disney since they already are working with Warner Brothers with Lego movies and I doubt they would allow Warner Brothers to purchase them because I'm pretty sure Lego doesn't want to lose all that Star Wars dosh
>>
All the animes.
>>
>>64170221
This. Lego makes a shit ton of money by being a non-bias whore.
>>
>>64170175
I don't think not even Disney can turn any state into the happiest place on Earth, especially Florida

Sure thing champ, they could snap Nintendo in two without breaking a sweat.

Terminator can be bought for cheap, but no one wants that shithole.
>>
>>64170354
So in your mind, Disney is going to spend 20 billion dollars on a single company.

I would love for them to buy WB and make a Marvel vs DC movie.
>>
Is there anything left to buy in movie land? Star Wars seemed like the last major property.
>>
>>64170215
Also Nintendo is trying to give their IP's more accessibility beyond games
>“Mr. Miyamoto, for instance, is spending a lot of time, not only with his fellow developers, but also working with Universal Theme Parks to design the Nintendo experience that will evolve there. In fact, you may even be seeing Nintendo characters more often in the clothing and shoes that people wear.”

If they did, they would be out making money and losing their virginity instead of shitposting all day on manbaby-daycare.org.
>>
>>64170428
>Wanting more capeshit
Capeshit is gonna burst because of over saturation anyways, Disney's back up plan being Star Wars
>>
>>64170428
First off, that would be horrid for the morale of the economy, why would you want the number one media company in the world to by the number two media company in the world?

Second, the FCC would shut that down in an instant

Third, Disney couldn't afford it.
>>
>>64170383

Depends how bad they want Mario and co
>>
>>64170066

>Warner Bros doing well

>>
James Bond or whatever company owns them.
>>
>>64170354
20 billion is a massive acquisition
they would really need to have a plan for it rather than just "what should we buy now"
There have only ever been a handful of corporate buyouts over $50 billion
>>
>>64170538
They couldn't even if they wanted to because it would be retarded to spend that much on one company and Japan wouldn't allow it and NIntendo wouldn't sell.

>>64170559
First off, WB isn't a single company you idiot, it's a subsidiary of Time Warner.

Second, while this year for WB is has been bad, their 2016 and beyond slate of movies look very storng.

Third, WB TV and WB Games have been very strong this year. Their TV brand is more than likely the strongest in the country right now with shit like the Big Bang Theory and all that stuff.
>>
>>64170578
There's literally no money to be made in this shit heap.

Something from Sony. Sony would love some money to stay afloat

Bandai properties to sell in Japan.
They already started weakening them with the Star Wars bait&switch.

NIntendo wouldn't sell.

>>
>>64170811
They'll buy off the rest of the Marvel properties Sony owns plus Bond and then watch the company close off its movie wing.
>>
>>64170819
What properties? Right now all that's really hot is Gundam and none of their game franchises are really super duper popular
>>
Who would other companies try to buy out?
>>
+1 for nintendo

Dragon Ball too
>>
>>64171017

that shit is $$$

Weaboos would be pissed and start chimping out
>>
>>64171096
Toei has a vicegrip on DB right now. Super would have to flop and stop selling merch and it is doing fine.
>>
>>64170981

The only Marvel property left at Sony is Spider-Man and they don't need him. The movies barely make any money compared to the 1 billion dollars in merchandise sales he brings in every year and guess who owns the merchandise rights to Spider-Man already? Disney/Marvel.

As for Bond, I don't think Sony owns any rights for him really, that property is owned by some one else and they just distribute but I don't know much about Bond.

Bond is complicated. It is entirely owned by Eon now is like a subsidy of a subsidy of a subsidy. If the next bond post-craig flops, I can see it being bought out.

Ghibli is nothing but IP without Takahata or Miyazaki, and I doubt they'd let Disney turn their library into merchshit
