I actually liked Finn. He was a janitor, got wrecked, said dumb shit. He wasn't perfect. He actually seemed like a regular guy not space Jesus. Cool character, fun to watch.

fine actor, lousy part. way too intense, crappy dialogue was all snark. good conceit for a character but didn't get enough time to develop. should have set up zero tolerance for defectors in the opening scene (have phasma send faceless stormtrooper with a conscience to reeducation) and then had this character be introduced in viii imho

Easily one of the better parts of the movie. The few scenes with Poe and Finn felt strangely natural even though they became best friends immediately. A shame he was literally a damsel for Rei the whole movie. Hopefully they keep him with Poe and BB-8, and away from Rei
