So no one disagrees with Toy Story being the only perfect trilogy, right?

Jesus, there are so many masterpiece trilogies, why are you so content with a kid's one?
>Antonioni's
>Kielsowski's
>Wong kar wai's
>Bergman's
>Romero's
>Chan-Wook's
>Leone's
Even Lotr is a better trilogy
but Toy Story 3 is really bad, even for a Pixar film.
It's full of contrivances, coincidences, bad jokes, formulaic story telling, and it's melodramatic as fuck. The other two films weren't really special, but at least they had tight narratives and nice character-based humor, the third film just felt insincere.

It's 4 rotten reviews.

What about Chris-Chan's half-brother?
they should have just left it there and not make a fourth desu, concentrate on newer films like the incredibles
>>64123986
Yeah Toy Story was fucking awesome. Toy Story 3 was possibly the best too, who the fuck rated it rotten?
Toy Story was a masterpiece.
Toy Story 2 felt forced and the addition of new characters wasn't necessary.
Toy Story 3 was a nostalgia cash-in, which a terrible script and ending everyone could see the second the movie started.

First one was was good.
Second one was good but unnecessary.
Third one was shit.
>>64123986
Antonioni's 'modern malaise' trilogy is damn near perfect too.
It's perfect in the sense that it didn't particularly screw up anywhere, but none of the movies are special or great in any way. Nothing makes Toy Story stand out as a classic trilogy.
The second and third ones are completely forgettable.
>>64123986
Of mainstream movies, yes.
But I would ultimately say either Ozu or Three Colors as the perfect trilogy.

Just >>>/trash/ it.
>>64123986
2 sucked.
>>64123986
is anything with three parts automatically a trilogy?
I thought they would have to follow one story line like lord of the rings
>>64123986
Toy Story 4 will ruin it though
