I like him. Ever since he did "Eternal sunshine", i gained respect for this man...then he had his spiritual awakening with Eckhart Tolle, and why not i guess, still better than if he had joined Scientology. And then his relationships being complicated as an hollywood star's should be, but then his ex killed herself, and now i feel really sad for the man.
He just seems like a decent human being.
But that's only the perception i get from what i hear about him.
