Yeah, I took my wife's son out to go see it yesterday when her boyfriend came over, and I was pretty fucking disgusted.
Everything about the movie was canned corporate bullshit, the characters were flat and everything was a 'throwback'.

Otherwise it felt like the husk of a great movie stuffed to overflowing with callbacks to better ones.
As a rule you should never directly reference a movie better than yours in your movie. Like when David quote Larence of Arabia in Prometheus. This move was that for an hour and a half with somewhat likable characters interspersed throughout.
I liked it, but I didn't get to see the ending. My wife's son thought it sucked so we left in the middle of it.
