Colour= race is a modern thing. its why arguments about egyptians being black or white are dumb as fuck as they didnt see it so simply. They usually made distinctions about race based upon culture (for example im pretty sure Nubian means 'people of the bow' or somethign similar rather than describing them as black). And its also a pretty complex question to ask 'who is an Egyptian' due to numerous invasions, change of elites. Basically implanting out own views of colour=race upon an ancient culture is dumb as fuck when they never viewed it in this way.
