Like seriously, Kylo Ren fought him to a standstill in the novel. The same Kylo Ren that got his ass kicked by Rey.

He's clearly just going to be the Yoda figure, since he can't do shit against the Order and can instead only train the much more powerful Rey to do it.

Sounds awful. I don't mind Rey being the one to resolve the conflict of the trilogy, of course, but Luke should be what Anakin never got the chance to be. I don't mind him being the Yoda figure but he should be far from impotent.

VII's story was largely dogshit, though. I wouldn't be surprised if this is what happens.
