Kind of. I characterize dadcore of being older action/adventure movies from the 70s-90s that dads watched when they were young and loved. They never grew out of that shit so thats all they watch today. The protagonist of the movie is pretty much "the strong silent type" hardass archetype who shoots people and isnt afraid of nothing. (Stallone, Schwarzenigger, Clint Eastwood, Charles Bronson, Mel Gibson, Tom Cruise, Bruce willis, Harrison ford, etc) There's alot of shooting and alot of masculinity. The protagonist for dadcore is pretty much a self-insert of the dad.
