Can we talk about how this is the best film of 2015?
>>64072726
>>>/no/
>>64072726
alright, me first
No le le, because le normies and le reddit likes it
Not even in the top 10, tbqhfam. Tarantino has gone beyond self-parody at this point.
Has anyone said anything about how boring it is? Its like a 3 hour conversation inside a cabin.
>>64072760
OP here.
Fury Road is literally my #2.
>>64072819
>Its like a 3 hour conversation inside a cabin.
There's no "like" about it. That's literally what it is.
>>64072726
So who's making a Room thread then my mane?
>>64072768
OP here.
I don't give a flying fuck which site likes what.
I fucking liked it.
>>64072726
> all that white "snow"
this is the amount that Tarantino snorted while writing this rambling junkie shit.
its "Deathproof" levels of bad.
>>64072848
OP here.
So, basically, we're done with dialogue driven movies?
Fuck this world.
>>64072908
No, we're done with Quentin self-parodying himself.
The End of The Tour is entirely dialogue driven and it's one of the best films of the year.
>>64072908
Please list your five favorite directors.
>>64072949
1. Stanley Kubrick
2. Francis Ford Coppola
3. Sergio Leone
4. Martin Scorsese
5. Quentin Tarantino
I'll put the Coen Bros. as honorable mentions.
>>64072937
That was a good film.
Yet, I have no idea what you're talking about with Tarantino "parodying himself."
I think you're all just trying to be edgy.
>>64072726
lol waht? Just saw it sneak preview of the sneak preview and its like the people said who saw it early its a 5/10. What I came away from it is just impressed and loved the sound of gun shots in that movie. Its like a cool terintino movie then multiply it by 2 cause the director loves his own bullshit and dragged out what should be a good movie.
Its a must watch but it has the same replay value and on same level as Gangs of New York.
>>64072889
lol wow
>>64073002
i'd put you in a oven if it wasn't chrismas ...
merry chrismas !
>>64073228
i love you 4chan
I just came back from a 70mm showing too, and i loved this movie.
Definitely my favorite movie of the year so far (have yet to see Sicario or The Revenant) especially since Tarantino basically made a horror movie.
Ennio Morricone's score is great. The movie itself falls apart int he last 30-40 minutes. The big western shots in the beginning were great. I wish Tarantino would steal from John Ford more. Kurt Russell was pretty bad, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Walton Goggins were great.
>>64073566
Kurt Russell was the best thing about the first act. Jennifer Jason Leigh was in Fast Times at Ridgemont High; it came to me when Kurt elbowed her and I was like oh shit!

Fury Road was actually a good movie, though
>consistent with the other Mad Max films
>protag wasn't actually a feminist power fantasy contrary to what we were told
>was actually a balanced character with real flaws but still kicked some ass
>breddy gud/10
It was a good movie. The /pol/ folks here are just triggered by the oral sex scene and can't get over it

Not him, but what's wrong with Kubrick, Leone, and Scorsese? They're all more than competent directors. The former two are among my favorites as well, so I'm curious.
Is this just an epic /tv/ meme where everyone tries to outdo each other on who can be the biggest contrarian?
WARM
>>64076334
Absolutely nothing wrong with that list, they are legit good directors albeit very typical of people barely getting into good cinema. Tarantino is not a bad director but he definitely doesn't belong on the top 10.
However

YES

>>64076427
Fair enough. I also agree, Quentin has maybe 2-3 good films out of his "8", so I wouldn't qualify him as top 10 either. Leone and Kubrick, on the other hand, are masters of their craft. They're definitely in my top 10.
I guess I can understand the perspective, though. Most people new to cinema's favorite directors are usually caught between:
a. Scorsese just because they saw Goodfellas and Wolf of Wall Street
b. Kubrick because they saw 2001 that one time and thought the ending was super thought provoking
c. Tarantino becuz Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill were rlly awsum xD
And if they like Leone it's usually only because they watched The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. But that's just my take on it.
Not trying to rag on >>64073002, btw. I think the list is fine honestly. Although I personally disagree with QT, and Coppola is another shaky one - but I guess he has enough masterpieces under his belt to be up there.
