All the films are mediocre from an adult's perspective because the target audience of the Star Wars franchise is children. Obviously there is the nostalgia appeal for 40 year olds more recently but even there, they should know not to expect something that matured with their tastes. It is a children's franchise primarily.

Star Wars went above and beyond it's intended audience. The whole set-up is perfect, light sabers, a long time ago, in space, the score. Yet was natural
