I can't tell which Egyptian gods either of these sets of characters are supposed to be, and I'm literally an archaeologist.

Why not just adapt some of the actual myths as they are? Make them relatively low-budget, keep all the sex and violence as is, and do a limited release. You'd probably make a nice profit.
