Even when I watched more movies, I never really got a strong emotional response relative to their quality. Some movies are good, some are bad... it's like a lot of things in this life. Sometimes the bad ones aren't even bad for lack of trying.
This fucking movie just made me mad. I don't know if it was like a perfect storm of actor smugness, idiotic plot or what... but I was just stewing in rage during it's showing.
At least harry potter is in the sequel

This is probably one of the worst movies I've seen. There was no clear definition of who the movie was focused on and we never really knew who was good or bad. It was shit all around.
I watched it on TV last night and could barely contain my laughter. I'm sure I woke up my roomates.

I felt the same way about Avatar
Most of my friends built it up to be this epic master piece, then I see it, its fucking Dances with Wolves with blue aliens. Yea cgi was top notch, but the plot was garbage and characters boring. And more people just kept jerking off over it and I legit became a hater of Avatar.

The movie is about a group of magicians who are committing a series of heists. Throughout the whole movie an aggressive FBI agent is trying to hunt them down, car chases, and all sorts of fights ensue. Surprise! it turns out that that FBI agent was a magician and was the one who brought them together and orchestrated the heists.

This description doesn't even do it justice.
Basically these magicians pull off elaborate Robin-hood type heists on wealthy corporations. they are simultaneously trying to avoid the FBI by also doing even more elaborate magic tricks that are much more work than required to the point where it just becomes funny. But then you figure out that the FBI agent they've been avoiding and duping the entire time was actually working for them so the real twist is that they've been out-magicianing themselves and subsequently the audience for no reason whatsoever. And at the very end they steal a bunch of money on stage being broadcast on live TV and somehow don't get arrested. Then they turn into holograms and fly away on a flying merry-go-round

I don't know but they need to step forcing Jesse Eisenberg into roles, he's awful. He only worked in Zombieland as an autist that needs to piggy back Woody Harrelson.

There's a fight scene where Dave Franco, who is just a street magician, turns into Jason fucking Bourne and fights off 2 bad guys all while doing magic and making shitty improvisational weapons of what he has in the room. It sounds really good and schlocky, but it's just terrible. There's one point where he gets pushed into a curtain, which he then wraps himself around, and he's just fucking gone. He's disappeared behind it and reappears instantly in another part of the room even though there's no fucking way there could be a trap door or he'd have enough time to make his way around. The whole movie is filled with impossible shit like that.
The 4 magicians are basically superheroes, I don't think they even get touched the whole movie, or nothing that happens wasn't "part of their plan." And the whole fighting and chase scene was inconsequential because the main "bad guy" who was after them the entire movie is revealed to actually be good and he was in fact helping them the entire movie as the final tweest.
