I don't think /tv/ understands what "reddit" means.
I'm not a Reddit browser myself because the voting-based layout is boring, but my friends who are regular Redditors are much more in line with classic /tv/-style wannabe "patricianism" than even most /tv/ shitposters. You know, borderline fedora, euphoric enlightenment, etc. They agree with whatever the "patrician" nerd culture zeitgeist tells them to say.
They hate Star Wars and Marvel movies, and love Christopher Nolan Batman. "Literally Reddit" would be an ideal insult for a genre film with pretentions of having grandeur, like Man of Steel or The Martian.
People who like Guardians and Star Wars are mostly normie-core teenagers on Tumblr abd Twitter.

GotG was alot more juvenile and didn't have any real emotional stakes. It was a fun, harmless, cheesy ride. It felt like they took the best parts of other movies and made a plot out of it.
TFA had more emotional impact, but fell short of expectations. It was like a diluted version of the OT. Bland. Half the calories. Left a weird after taste in our motuhs. It's basically New Coke Diet.
