I think our main gripe with the character is that, as Star Wars fans, we've historically had trouble with girls due to certain qualities we possess which cause them to perceive us as "creepy." Daisy Ridley, or a woman like her, would likely laugh at us or feel highly uncomfortable if one of us would try to talk to her yet she would have no trouble lusting over the "gym bros" who spent their whole life making fun of people like us.
The SJWs are essentially trying to rub that in our face by casting someone who hates people like us in a movie we've loved for so long.
