Anyway I really like his helmet + goggles. The back part makes it look like he has gills of some kind, and the large circular eyepieces are unintentionally cute for a menacing guy. His ears make him look almost like a dragon too. Also his arms act like legs and legs like arms which is pretty unique considering almost every other alien in Star Wars is a rubber forehead humanoid.

If you watch the making of features it's very clear that the podracing scene is what Lucas was most passionate about making, possibly out of the whole prequel trilogy.
