your chart is stupid. you post movies you know most of /tv/ won't have seen and post others intentionally obscured like close-up so people will only think they haven't seen them
who is going to recognize that vague smear in the top middle?

It's literally a picture of the dude that the entire movie is about. In the house that half the movie takes place in.

Lots of people have. people that have actually seen the movie. That's literally the most iconic scene from the movie.

also like to add that literally every single one of those pictures minus level five (which is the cover of the dvd) is of the protagonist. but yes I'm trying to intentionally obscure the movies by putting a god damn picture of setsuko hara there rofl

compared to sans soleil I thought it was a lot less obtuse. like, if I think back to sans soleil I don't really know what it's all about. thinking back to level five, the themes of memory loss and history are clear and apparent. I def need to watch sans soleil more though.
also im a sucker for the early internet aesthetic and the whole theme of getting lost in this strange, extra-human web. which reminds me that I need to finish watching serial experiments lain.

Some of the films on my chart have a good deal of action in them, but there's much more to them than highly stylized action. The same can't be said about most of those (especially Star Wars).

I can admit that they're all very well made and entertaining. There certainly is depth to all of them (though nothing really stuck out to me in Predator or Die Hard), but none of it is explored in an interesting enough way for me to bother watching them again. The worst is Star Wars which has a truly fascinating thesis, but ultimately only demonstrates the inadequacies of our popular culture, science fiction in particular.

>And no, i didn't grew up with it, even though i did watched as kid sometimes.
This explains our differences better than anything else. As a child I had Star Wars shoved in my face, and it's cultural impact lived in my household. It's not something I'm capable of ignoring. I was raised by a man who was deeply influenced by those films in his youth, and the result wasn't pretty.
Hey you guys know there is no such thing as taste when you have your head sucking the back of a semi truck exhaust
All tv as artform is pleb shit.
>it's a dying medium
You communicate the same way that my grandma does, by watching and absorbing aomething trite and trying to comprehend if it is good.
Well it's all bad. Even if you think it's good, it's fucking shit.
You are all shit.
Not only will you not make your own art, but posting a 3x3 of someone elses time taking pictures is the bottom of the bottom in terms of artistry.

Something being old doesn't make it dadcore you cuck. You don't see people calling Mozart dadcore. Dadcore is "manly" pop culture shit from the late seventies to the end of the eighties (the era in which most anon daddies would still be youngish) that dads would consider their favorites but when looked at critically are banal and not better than the meme movies of today.
