>Tom Cruise showed up on the set one day, just out of the blue. I mean literally, he came down in his personal gyrocopter. He put it into automatic landing mode and jumped out 300 feet in the air in a bright orange wingsuit. At this point the entire crew had stopped what they were doing and were just watching Tom Cruise do wingsuit tricks around his descending gyrocopter. Once he finally landed 5 minutes later he strolled right up to the director's chair and vigorously pumped JJ's hand up and down, up and down for 20 straight seconds. He was gesturing really wildly and had a glazed look in his eye, you could tell he came here because he just loved Star Wars. I don't really know how exactly the exchange went but Tom eventually leaped into the air and shouted "YES" while pumping his arm, like a shot a sitcom would end on. Then he bounded off to the costume trailer, knocking over a couple interns on the way.

But Tom was already planning out the next 5 scenes he wanted to do, and he wrecked a good part of the set twirling the other stunt weapons around that he wanted to use."
