At first i realized everything you mentioned as well as the movie rolled. Heck, i did see a few white folks get a bit flustered as well.
But I realized its not us, its them in the plot in some galaxy far far away without the common bullshit problems we deal with here on earth.

But still, we live in an ever progressive age and I could still see someone was pushing it behind the scenes, but it didn't feel contrived for star wars, it seemed normal for its setting since its fantasy in the end.
It was okay. Most the cast did a decent job, I was worried that Han and Leia would look ridiculous after 40 years trying to play these iconic characters again and I was right. Ford was great but man the guy is fucking old now and can't run around shooting people like old times and pretend it's convincing.
It's worth watching, but it's nothing special like the originals. They did something new and exciting, this is just an imitation of that 40 years after the fact, and the references and fan service just take me out of it. I want a new and exciting story, not "lol look guise it's old skool Star Wars and here's some shit you might remember."

Abrams/writers couldnt be that stupid to rip ANH so closely and I suspect he/they were painfully aware of how this first movie could be recieved.
