I get that the rebels needed to make allies for that battle since they could only sneak in like a dozen or so people on their one ship, but it's like fucking christ. A vastly primitive species? Ignore the fact that they're just a bunch of teddy bears. They use rocks. And that's supposed to help against the Empire? And even then, most of the battle for the shield generator is pointless too since for the most part we see the ewoks and rebels getting decimated because they're obviously outmatched, but once Chewbacca steals an AT-ST, everything is fine. It was a sequence that was way longer than it needed to be and was resolved way too easily.
