I might be a bit of a simpleton, but I fucking love flamethrowers, /tv/.
Aside from Predator and End of Evangelion, I can't really think of any movies that feature them in action - even if only momentarily.

Because if they were realistic they would be overpowered and unbalanced. So in single player games they can be balanced with low ammo, but in multiplayer games the balance issue is more important, which is why you rarely see them.
