It's so fast though. I just got back from a second viewing and I watched for this. One scene he goes from having a panic attack for being asked to kill some insurgents in a village, the very next time we see him he's hatched this plot to break out a high value prisoner and blast their way out past legions of troops and ships
And those fuckers at the village weren't simple peasants either. The moment stormtrooper ships are spotted in the distance they set up to defend it. They're a resistance enclave, they start shooting before the stormies do. Enemy combatants, blasting at him, killing his friend, and he can't shoot back, but he can kill his fellow soldiers in the next scene by the hundreds no bother? My arse.
