I think at this point most people are in agreement that Episode VII is a good, fun movie with some flaws.

I dunno man, I walked away from the movie feeling meh but even with all the cynicism I want to see it again. I feel like I'm actually liking it more
BB-8, from what I heard from JJ interviews, was created to sell toys. My guess is he worked his ass off to justify a shoehorned commercial into the film. He did a good job of making the character fun. Disney hit a home run with this droid.
