Why do ugly people become famous /tv/ ?
For instance cumberbatch is hideous, yet popular and getting acting roles. Can you think of other ugly people who get roles that aren't portraying someone ugly.
Other examples are leslie jones, devon aoki, and boyega
He can't be that ugly since women seem to go crazy over him.
Proof is in the pudding I guess.
What's his name again?

No, not all women go crazy over him. The ones who do have questionable mental stability.

Just ask DeShaun Holton.

Probably because they are actually good at acting which is something that occasionally needs to be peppered into the films industry to offset all the vapid shitstains hired purely for their looks.

>Hideous
He's not a normal looking guy I'll admit, but he's not hideous at all. He isn't conventionally good-looking but he has this certain something that makes him easy to look at in Sherlock. And his voice is just gorgeous.
ayy lmao

He's weird looking, not outright ugly
A better question would be why people on /tv/ have such an intense, superficial focus on attractiveness like it's /fit/-lite.
Height, hairlines, facial attractiveness, I just don't understand why people who I very much doubt are supermodels focus so fucking much on a dude like Cabbagepatch's face. Seriously, how many fucking threads have we had talking about how unattractive he apparently is (even though I'd say he's more around slightly below average).

>try to watch sherlock
>this ugly fuck is the main character
>every word he says, every move he makes, i'll be watching
completely ruins the show
