Fantastic. I haven't had such a good time watching a movie for years. Had a huge grin on my face for the entire last third.
The most accurate portrayal of women ever and the only Hollywood film that openly admits marriage is a bad idea.
Every other film just trains the populace into thinking marriage makes sense in the modern age.

It is literally the only movie in my entire life I literally stopped after 30 minutes because I was physically sick.
The way the movie constantly cuts, the pace of it, the constant dialogue and spamming visibly made my brain start to fucking freak out. Like I suddenly became anxious and conscious of my mind entering a state of madness. I couldn't focus on anything and felt like I was going to have a stroke or something.
It's literally one of the worst movies I've ever experienced. I got up and had to go get a drink of water and get fresh air, it was that fucking bad.

No, this movie in particular has something wrong with it.
The pacing of which it cuts, the constant dialogue jumping back and forth, it's really odd. It felt like a 5 hour movie trying to compress into an hour long one. I noticed it right from the start, I was just being bothered by it and my brain was literally becoming overwhelmed.

when there's nothing more to show, the movie cuts. it's intended to show what needs to be shown. the camera is impartial, it's like there is no cameraman at all. it's just showing you what you need to see. dialogue is fast, like it should be. there's no long theatrical pauses, and characters often start talking right before the other person finishes what they were saying.
come on, what are you, some kind of pleb? in the girl with the dragon tattoo, when the main character heads to the island at the beginning of the movie, it's just, TRAIN, HE ARRIVES AND SEES A CAR, HE'S INSIDE THE CAR, HE'S IN THE MANSION. just like that, in a fucking instant. if it were somebody like kubrick it would have taken like at least 30 minutes.

The book actually gives a tangible reason for her being fucked up: her parents were psychologists who whored out their daughter's life in a series of "How to raise your kid" bullshit parenting books and whenever Amy DARED to object to her parents trying to control every aspect of her life for their book series, they took passive aggressive revenge via their daughter's proxy being the obedient girl who was perfect and NEVER disobeyed.
And after whoring out their daughter and compensating her with a trust fund from the books they wrote, they then forced her to hand over THE ENTIRE TRUST FUND back to them after they went broke trying to live like kings off their exploitation of their daughter.
