I just rewatched this last week. It really is one of the best Batman movies. Keaton, DeVito, Pfeiffer, and Walken are all very entertaining to watch and do a magnificent job at playing their characters.

Kinda wish they would have made the Penguin more of a sympathetic villain. I mean it looks like they tried to in the beginning but then he just goes full on villain in the last third of the movie. I think that the Batman live action films have some of the most 2d villains in all of capeshit.

Never understood Batman 1989's greater fanbase. Batman Returns is Tim Burton's head perfectly expressed in film form. I think only Edward Scissor hands can claim to be more of a Tim Burtony movie than Batman Returns.

Just my opinion...Billy Dee should have had the Walken part like in the original script. So he could have been two face in part 3

It seemed like the power plant idea was left over from the original script thats all. I don't mind the idea overall but it just seemed strange that they made a point about how it was just a battery for electricity instead of producing any...like it was going to do something cool, but it never comes up.
