It's the least bad of the Prequels, I wouldn't go so far as to say it's the "best" of anything. While it generally lacks the stupid humor of TPM and the general awkwardness of AotC, it's got that same plodding pace and meandering plot construction that make you wonder if Lucas employed any sort of story editor.

I think it's better than RoTJ from a lot of respects, but Revenge still has a lot of Lucas's stupid ideas holding it back. Definitely the best prequel, and that's not just meme logic it is a legitimately good movie.

I always had the theory that he was succumbing to the Dark side right there because his light saber fighting style channels the dark side.
It's only regarded as the best of the prequels for nostalgia reasons. People born 95-99 saw it as kids, the same people who are the average posters on here, kids who will go even as far as say it is better than Return of the Jedi. The older generations just didn't care anymore about the prequels and wanted to get it over with by then. Whatever expectations people had completely vanished after Attack of the Clones, and unlike the kids who rave about Revenge of the Sith they aren't blinded by nostalgia.
