That theory is bullshit though, no matter how much you want to believe it to give the Bond movies some depth. The films and books have always been about the adventures of a singular James Bond. Sure the timeline is messed up but that doesn't matter.

Just like different writers and artists give their own interpretations of comic book characters different times and crews have dictated different versions of Bond although he is still the same singular character.
