Why are sports movies always so bad. Everything in this thread has aged horribly, none of them would be considered one of the greatest films made.

because sports are GAMES, they're not really interesting subjects, they're blatant forced drama. And despite the fact every sports game ever is longer than 90 minutes, a movie might only have 30 of the sports setting and the rest is dumb shit like a cheating wife or bad grades
